This was an AMAZING experience. If you are interested in mental health, pre-med, psychology, anything in a hospital really - this is great exposure. It is run through the social work department actually, but you see so much more than just social work. You work alongside a team which is working on a psychiatric unit. Every day you do rounds with the team to hear updates about the patients, and then the rest of the day varies depending on the day. You get to witness a lot - patient intakes, medical decisions, therapeutic groups, and aftercare planning. Like most internships, ...
