My internship at Whisper PR in the summer of 2006 was the most positive and enjoyable work experience I have had to date. I was given real and meaningful work on a daily basis, and was constantly involved in important projects. I was able to work with several different brands on press releases, event planning, research, celebrity media mailings, etc. and really got to see the ins and outs of the business. If there was a particular client or project that interested me, the owners and the other Senior Account Execs were extremely flexible in matching what work needed to be done with my interests. Not only did I get significant real world experience here, learn a ton, and get great satisfaction from it, but I worked with a fabulous group of people. The owners of Whisper are so friendly, kind and fliexible. Unlike many senior people, they do NOT treat you like interns meant only to go on coffee runs, but rather have a genuine interest in you and making sure that you have a great experience with them. They are very open to questions and want to help you learn. Both the owners and the senior execs allow you to get really involved in all sorts of projects, while at the same time making you feel like one of the team. There is definitely a team mentality at Whisper- you will love coming to work everyday.
